I met Sean when I first moved to Portland. I was in culinary school, and The Civic Taproom was the halfway point between my apartment and the school. Sean’s enthusiasm and passion for his beliefs repeatedly drew me back until I became a regular customer. Sean has a huge heart and always puts his loved ones first.
Sean opened Proper Pint Taproom in the summer of 2017. He built each and every stool with meticulous detail and his fiance Casey upholstered the bench seats with Pendleton fabric. He even built speaker mounts out of Oregon Walnut because every detail matters to him. Sean’s support and generosity helped turn the dream of Mayfly into a reality and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Sean, Casey and the community they’ve created.
